The latest upstream code contains support (configuration files) for the new hardware and few bugfixes.

The library is used and it works.

# rpm -qa alsa-lib
alsa-lib-1.2.8-1.el9.x86_64

# rpm -ql alsa-lib | grep /usr/lib64/
/usr/lib64/libasound.so.2
/usr/lib64/libasound.so.2.0.0
/usr/lib64/libatopology.so.2
/usr/lib64/libatopology.so.2.0.0

Sound works properly.

[lhc@flatworm ~]$ rpm -ql alsa-lib | grep /usr/lib64/
/usr/lib64/libasound.so.2
/usr/lib64/libasound.so.2.0.0
/usr/lib64/libatopology.so.2
/usr/lib64/libatopology.so.2.0.0

Sound works on RHEL-9.2 with alsa-lib-1.2.8-3.el9.x86_64, tha package is in the nightly build, therefore this BZ stays VERIFIED.
