Description Manny 2022-09-15 03:16:48 UTC
Describe the issue: The doc implies Ganesha is Deprecated

Describe the task you were trying to accomplish: N/A

Suggestions for improvement: A customer opened a case asking for a Ganesha replacement because it's deprecated.

Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_ceph_storage/5/html-single/file_system_guide/index#exporting-ceph-file-system-namespaces-over-the-nfs-protocol_fs

Chapter/Section Number and Title: 5.17. Exporting Ceph File System namespaces over the NFS protocol (Limited Availability)

Product Version: 5.2

Environment Details: N/A

Any other versions of this document that also needs this update: Not sure

Additional information: A customer opened a case claiming Ganesha was deprecated. It seems they read section 5.17 and right below that it rolls into: "This technology is Limited Availability. See the Deprecated functionality chapter for additional information" Maybe if there was an asterisks (*) near CephFS and near this statement, tying them together. Anything else that can be done to break this implication.

Regards,
Manny
