Patch suggested here: https://lore.kernel.org/qemu-devel/20221114132502.110213-1-thuth@redhat.com/ The output of "-machine s390-ccw-virtio,help" will be fixed with this patch here: https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/commit/1fd396e32288bbf536483c74b68cb3ee86005a9f Patch has been merged upstream: https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/commit/be5df2edb5d69ff3107c5616aa ... we'll get this in RHEL9 with the rebase of qemu-kvm to version 7.2.0, so I'm setting the status to POST now. Test environment: qemu-kvm-7.2.0-2.el9.s390x Test result: /usr/libexec/qemu-kvm -machine s390-ccw-virtio,? | grep -i loadparm loadparm=<loadparm> - Up to 8 chars in set of [A-Za-z0-9. ] (lower case chars converted to upper case) to pass to machine loader, boot manager, and guest kernel set verified to this bz Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
