Unable to compose mails

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click the compose new mail button

Actual results:
The UI completely locks up and GNOME offers the force quit option after a few moments

Expected results:
The composer window to display

Thanks for a bug report. I'm not sure splitting investigation effort into multiple bugzillas help anything. If you can, join the upstream bug and help provide needed information, please. I am on Fedora 37 and I do not face this problem myself (yet).

I'm going to backport the upstream change, due to the next release being in 4 weeks, which is quite long time.

See the upstream report for a partial workaround, please.
