Hello,

I would highly appreciate it, if Fedora Linux would ship the newer Version.

Is there some chance that this could also make it into Fedora Linux 38?

Comment 4 Nathan G. Grennan 2023-04-19 15:55:18 UTC
I am interested in this too. I see Fedora 38 is still on 9.0p1.

Comment 5 Dmitry Belyavskiy 2023-04-27 16:00:29 UTC
Dear colleagues,

I understand and support your feelings, but unfortunately it requires too many efforts for now. The PR I added to the bug is a WIP, I don't expect it would even compile.

Comment 6 Nathan G. Grennan 2023-04-27 16:30:36 UTC
I tried building it myself. It is probably doable, but there are like 50+ patches that have to be "fixed". Overall I would say the number of patches is just too high in general.

Comment 7 Dmitry Belyavskiy 2023-04-27 16:40:19 UTC
The most problematic is gss part. Now there are a set of callback structures per algorithm. It's a proper architecture but it will take much time to align the current code to the callback state.

Comment 8 Dmitry Belyavskiy 2023-06-02 13:53:25 UTC
I pushed the updated version to rawhide. Enjoy.

Comment 9 xspielinbox+redhat 2023-06-06 20:13:40 UTC
Thank you!

Looking forward to seeing it in Fedora 39. : )
