Description Jessica Richards 2022-10-05 22:26:06 UTC
Created attachment 1916316 [details]
screenshot of ansible roles page

Description of problem:

When the customer logs into Satellite 6.11, browses to Configure > Ansible > Roles and clicks on the link (or button) for documentation, the link opens the Customer Portal with this error message:

404
PAGE NOT FOUND
The page you're trying to find was either removed, moved, or maybe the URL isn't quite right.

Here's the broken link:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.11/html/configuring_satellite_to_use_ansible/getting-started-with-ansible_ansible#importing-Ansible-variables_ansible

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

satellite 6.11

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. log into satellite
2. click on configure menu
3. click on roles under the ansible heading
4. click on the link "Learn more about this in the documentation" or the button "Documentation"

Actual results:

404
PAGE NOT FOUND
The page you're trying to find was either removed, moved, or maybe the URL isn't quite right.

Expected results:

Looking at our documentation, this appears to be the correct link:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.11/html/configuring_red_hat_satellite_to_use_ansible/getting-started-with-ansible_ansible#importing-Ansible-roles_ansible

Additional info:

For comparison, I looked at Satellite 6.10, and the same link gives me this (valid) link:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.10/html/configuring_satellite_to_use_ansible/getting-started-with-ansible_ansible#importing-Ansible-variables_ansible

It looks like someone simply changed 6.10 to 6.11 in the URL, but that gives an invalid URL. Another part of the URL has changed from this:

configuring_satellite_to_use_ansible

to this:

configuring_red_hat_satellite_to_use_ansible

This bugzilla has been resolved in Satellite 6.12 and later; therefore, closing as 'currentrelease'.
