Description Eric Auger 2022-10-06 08:53:09 UTC
We might be interested in backporting at least those 2 fixes which impact aarch64 use case:

[PATCH v2] hw/acpi: Add ospm_status hook implementation for acpi-ged
[PATCH v3] target/arm/kvm: Retry KVM_CREATE_VM call if it fails EINTR

That's also the opportunity to checked whether there are no others which fell into the cracks

Can you set the qa_ack+ on this bug please? We need it to get release+.

If not I suppose transfer the needinfo to lijin or coli...

Verify qemu-kvm-6.2.0-25.module+el8.8.0+17289+bd3b0bcc.aarch64 on aarch64

Test Env:
  kernel-4.18.0-437.el8.aarch64
  qemu-kvm-6.2.0-25.module+el8.8.0+17289+bd3b0bcc.aarch64

Test Results:
From 176 tests executed, 173 passed and 0 warned - success rate of 98.30% (excluding SKIP and CANCEL)

Result Analysis:
1 case (balloon_service.small_polling_interval) can not be reproduced(200/200 PASS)
1 case (block_discard.xfs.writesame) failed due to a tp issue with low reproducibility (3/500 FAIL)
1 case (nic_hotplug.vhost_nic.nic_virtio) may fail due to a bug (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2144427)
