Description amit112amit 2022-10-08 09:07:45 UTC
Description of problem:
The default '/etc/slurm/slurm.conf' file shipped with the package contains deprecated
parameter names like 'ControlAddr', 'ControlMachine', `BackupAddr`, `BackupController` etc.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 22.05.3

How reproducible: 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install `slurm` package from the system repository
2. Enable slurmctld.service and slurmd.service

Actual results:
The `slurmd` and `slurmctld` services die because of not having `SlurmctldHost` defined. This is new parameter name instead of the deprecated ones prefilled in the default `slurm.conf` file.

Expected results:
The services `slurmd` and `slurmctld` should run without dying.
