Description David 2022-10-09 10:08:23 UTC
Please update Pandoc, it is currently stuck on `2.14.0.3` which was released on 2021-06-22 nearly a year and a half ago.

Release : 16.el9
Architecture : x86_64
Size : 21 M
Source : pandoc-2.14.0.3-16.el9.src.rpm
Repository : epel

Comment 1 Jens Petersen 2022-10-20 07:41:15 UTC
Ya I know it is not the latest version: in fact we don't have any newer pandoc yet even in Fedora Rawhide...

Given that the current epel9 package was only finally built last month - please don't expect this any time soon,
but hopefully some rebases can be done at some point in the future.

Is there a particular feature you are after in newer pandoc?

Comment 2 David 2022-10-29 11:08:49 UTC
No feature in particular, just a bit concerned it is over a year out of date, but maybe it will work out fine. Thanks for all your work getting it into el9!

Comment 3 Jens Petersen 2022-10-31 07:47:38 UTC
You are welcome :-)

Hi there :)
I had to look into if I can get pandoc (especially pandoc-cli) 3.x working for el9,
as my tries ended up in an endless loop I thought I might ask here for once, maybe you already have working somewhere,
still seeing 2.14 as the latest version for epel9 so not sure if it is even possible.

Comment 5 Jens Petersen 2025-05-16 04:40:51 UTC
Perhaps I can also put a copr repo together for it, but I need some time for that.

(Recently I spent some time building pandoc etc for epel10)
