Description Neal Gompa 2022-10-15 18:54:02 UTC
Description of problem:
Upstream Dracut just introduced a new addon module for dmsquash-live that allows the user to have the media auto-configure a persistent overlay for live environments flashed to a USB stick.

Please backport this module to dracut in RHEL.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
057-13.git20220816.el9

Additional info:
This is going to be useful for the CentOS Hyperscale Workstation images from the Hyperscale SIG and the images that will come from the CentOS Stream Alternative Images SIG.

Additionally, first-party and third-party tools can use this for creating useful persistent rescue environments and other similar things.
