Description alex 2022-10-16 12:54:38 UTC
Description of problem:

Using the menus on Lagrange on Wayland (CentOS 9 Stream) seems to lock the UI (I can switch to a VT and kill lagrange to restore it).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

lagrange-1.13.7-1.el9.src.rpm

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on "file" menu.

Actual results:
Menu opens

Expected results:
UI locks

Additional info:
From:

https://gmi.skyjake.fi/lagrange/

> The environment variable `SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland` can be used to force SDL to use Wayland instead of X11. However, SDL does not have full support for Wayland at the moment. You should set the Lagrange CMake build option ENABLE_POPUP_MENUS to NO. If there are issues with resizing windows, also set ENABLE_RESIZE_DRAW to NO.

Comment 1 Michel Lind 2023-01-11 19:34:41 UTC
Ah, I've not been noticing since
- I accidentally switched to X11 on my Fedora box a few months ago
- my Lagrange window is normally big enough the menu does not pop up

Can repro, will adjust the settings, thanks!
