Description of problem:

Could the package be altered to install the rscreen example to /usr/bin? Or at least, chmod the example +x so I can symlink easily to ~/.local/bin?

The Debian package for autossh also provides ruscreen, which uses screen -U for UTF8, which is nice.

(The Debian package also provides rtmux, which might also be interesting for tmux users.)
