Description Peter Dragun 2022-11-07 13:00:42 UTC
Description of problem:
Seach in the new host detail page using the enter key to confirm. It would be okay if there weren't by default marked first suggestion, which is also applied by pressing the enter key. If a user is quick enough to fill the field and hit enter, you end up with the first suggestion which is really annoying. This could happen especially when a user is pasting some info into the search field. This results in really poor UX.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have some content accessible for the host
2. Navigate to the new host details page -> Content subtab
3. Search for some errata and hit enter quickly.

Actual results:
Instead of your sting first suggestion is used, e.g. bug.

Expected results:
Search should have a button for applying the filter (same as others views in SAT outside of the host details page) or there should not be the first suggestion marked as default, again as other searches do.

Proposing to 6.14.0 since this is fixed upstream with https://github.com/theforeman/foreman/pull/9277 and https://github.com/Katello/katello/pull/10401

Comment 2 Brad Buckingham 2023-03-20 13:19:57 UTC
Moving to POST as both PRs in comment 1 are merged upstream.
