Description Adam Williamson 2022-11-08 21:03:13 UTC
This is a downstream report of https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/2499 , for blocker tracking purposes. As described there, mutter 43.1 (landing in Fedora-Rawhide-20221105.n.0) seems to have broken the display of Help screens in anaconda on the traditional installer images, where anaconda runs on gnome-kiosk on X.org. Live images, where anaconda runs on GNOME Shell or KWin on Wayland, seem unaffected.

Proposing as an F38 Final blocker as a violation of Final criterion "Any element in the installer interface(s) which is clearly intended to display 'help' text must do so correctly when activated."

This seems to have been fixed between Fedora-Rawhide-20221115.n.0 and Fedora-Rawhide-20221119.n.0 , looking at past openQA results.
