Comment 1 RHEL Process Automation 2022-11-09 11:21:09 UTC
This package is being added to RHEL 8.8 at the next minor release. Please remove it from epel after the next RHEL minor release.

Comment 2 Troy Dawson 2023-01-27 14:54:41 UTC
DO NOT REMOVE THIS PACKAGE UNTIL RHEL 8.8 IS RELEASED

Comment 3 Ben Morrice 2023-06-01 12:54:50 UTC
Hello
RHEL8.8 has been released, and we are now seeing conflicts during dnf updates due to libtraceevent existing in both RHEL and EPEL
Can this ticket please be actioned and libtraceevent removed from EPEL8 asap?

Kind regards,
Ben

Comment 4 Troy Dawson 2023-06-02 14:33:45 UTC
I have verified that libtraceevent is in RHEL 8.8
I have ran the fedpkg retire for libtraceevent on epel8.
I will close this ticket when it is no longer in epel8

Comment 5 Troy Dawson 2023-06-07 14:12:45 UTC
libtraceevent is no longer in epel8.
Thank you for your work work on libtraceevent on epel8.
