Description Shawn Iwinski 2022-11-10 19:51:02 UTC
If possible, can this package be updated from 1.57 to at least 1.58 in EPEL9? My use-case for this package/tool is for Akamai NetStorage [1] and its' backend support was added in 1.58 [2].

Any update on this? This version of rclone is from late 2021, any kind of update would be greatly appreciated.
There have been numerous new backends and updated options in rclone ever since that affect a lot of different use cases, v1.57 is frankly very outdated.

Comment 4 Brad 2025-02-10 22:42:20 UTC
The current rclone in Fedora 40, 41, and 42 is rclone 1.68.2 (released Nov 15, 2024).

EPEL 9 is currently at rclone 1.57 (released Nov 1, 2021).

Can we branch and build the current Fedora version in EPEL 9? It has had many fixes and enhancements.

Thank you!
