Closing this ticket as NOTABUG - there are 2 ways to perform a `getent` command when a RHEL host is joined to AD with Winbind: # getent passwd DOMAIN\\aduser or # getent passwd "DOMAIN\aduser" In our docs, we have the second option, but the first (that the original reporter asked about) is equally as valid.
