Description Basil Eric Rabi 2022-11-21 12:05:30 UTC
Description of problem:
If I disconnect my bluetooth earbuds by putting them in the charging box, the built-in laptop speakers does not produce any sound.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
wireplumber-0.4.12-1.fc37.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect bluetooth earbuds
2. Play anything while on earbuds
3. Put the earbuds on the charging box
4. Sound output should switch to speakers by default
5. Play any sound

Actual results:
No sound is produced from the built-in speakers.

Expected results:
Sound is produced from the built-in speakers

Additional info:
Sound is produced again after restarting wireplumber (systemctl restart --user wireplumber) when gnome-sound-settings is closed. If gnome-sound-settings is open while restarting wireplumber, there will still be no sound from the built-in speakers.

Comment 1 Basil Eric Rabi 2022-11-24 06:51:52 UTC
It seems to be the speakers produce no sound after switching the sound output from bluetooth earbuds then back to the built-in speakers while the bluetooth earbuds are still paired.
