Description Jonathan Wright 2022-11-22 00:47:51 UTC
Please branch and build python-statsmodels in epel9.

If you do not wish to maintain python-statsmodels in epel9,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package;
please add the epel-packagers-sig group through
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-statsmodels/addgroup
and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.

I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: jonathanspw).

I can be the primary contact for EPEL (FAS: jonathanspw).

Comment 1 Jonathan Wright 2023-01-02 21:25:53 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build python-statsmodels in epel9?
The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer
if you do not wish to build it on epel9.

Comment 2 Jonathan Wright 2023-01-02 21:29:15 UTC
The current rawhide branch builds successfully against EPEL9.

Comment 5 Glenn Morris 2023-02-17 21:08:15 UTC
I am unable to install python-statsmodels-0.13.2-4.el9 on RHEL 9.1:

  - nothing provides python3.9dist(pandas) >= 0.25 needed by python3-statsmodels-0.13.2-4.el9.x86_64
  - nothing provides python3.9dist(packaging) >= 21.3 needed by python3-statsmodels-0.13.2-4.el9.x86_64
  - nothing provides python3.9dist(patsy) >= 0.5.2 needed by python3-statsmodels-0.13.2-4.el9.x86_64

python3-pandas and python3-patsy are not available.
python3-packaging is present in AppStream, but only version 20.9.
