.Microsoft SQL Server Ansible role supports asynchronous high availability replicas Previously, Microsoft SQL Server Ansible role supported only primary, synchronous, and witness high availability replicas. Now, you can set the `mssql_ha_replica_type` variable to `asynchronous` to configure it with asynchronous replica type for a new or existing replica.

Description Sergei Petrosian 2022-11-22 12:14:38 UTC
Description of problem:

The role must provide a new available value for the `mssql_ha_replica_type` variable - `asynchronous` for configuring asynchronous replicas. When user provides `mssql_ha_replica_type: asynchronous` for a node, this node must be configured to have asycnrhonous replica type no matter if this node had been set up previously or not.
