Comment 2 Ben Beasley 2023-02-28 21:22:50 UTC
The python-engineio package ships Python-language server and client implementations of the Engine.IO protocol. It does *not* ship the NodeJS implementation referenced by CVE-2022-41940, nor does it install any JavaScript browser or library code. (There is a trivial JavaScript example in the documentation subpackage, but this is explicitly packaged without any dependencies, including the JavaScript implementation of Engine.IO.)

Please evaluate whether or not an affected copy of the JavaScript Engine.IO implementation is vendored in pgadmin4—if present, it might be in the pgadmin-${VERSION}-vendor.tar.gz source—and resolve or close this bug accordingly.

Comment 3 Sandro Mani 2023-03-07 08:38:25 UTC
pgamdin4-6.19 and -6.20 use engine.io@~6.2.1, so should not be affected by this flaw.
