I might be getting the software wrong because I'm not very good at reporting. But I think it's worth noting. Thanks.

Hi.

I also have this issue.
It is currently impossible to upgrade any software using Discover - all updates are cancelled on the one Slack error. Other components have to be updated using the command line:

sudo dnf upgrade -x slack

Completely uninstalling slack and installing the latest from their website does work and allows Discover to start working again. Until the next slack update!
