Description Daniel Rowe 2006-11-10 17:08:41 UTC
Description of problem:

On boot of 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 I get this error on the SATA port:

After this it seems to work fine the machine has no problems and doesn't get any
more SATA errors.

This is on a Nvidia nforce 4 motherboard using the nforce 4 SATA controller with
a WD360GD 10k drive. I didn't have this error with Last Kernel in Fedora Core 5
before update to FC6.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

2.6.18-1.2798.fc6

How reproducible:

Every boot.

Actual results:

SATA error

Expected results:

No STAT error

(This is a mass-update to all current FC6 kernel bugs in NEW state)

Hello,

I'm reviewing this bug list as part of the kernel bug triage project, an attempt
to isolate current bugs in the Fedora kernel.

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/KernelBugTriage

I am CC'ing myself to this bug, however this version of Fedora is no longer
maintained.

Please attempt to reproduce this bug with a current version of Fedora (presently
Fedora 8). If the bug no longer exists, please close the bug or I'll do so in a
few days if there is no further information lodged.

Thanks for using Fedora!
