Ansible based config is tech preview and never got out of it therefor regression keyword not relevant here.

Agreed. I'm dropping the priority on this as well. I suspect this could be considered for WONTFIX and we could simply state that collectd+ceph plugin via ansible-role deployment method is unsupported and not working, as part of a release note.

this was never productized, there is a manual workaround.
