Description Scott K Logan 2023-01-19 00:31:59 UTC
Description of problem:
There is not pcl package available in RHEL 9. Please branch and build pcl for EPEL 9.

Additional info:
All dependencies of this package are met in EPEL 9 for the rawhide branch. The build is nearly successful - only the ppc64le build fails. It may be a good idea to simply omit ppc64le until the PCL and/or Eigen developers can coordinate a fix to the project.

Scratch build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=96306569

Thanks!

Hello, It's been a couple of weeks. Are you able to create an epel9 branch of pcl? If maintaining an EPEL 9 branch isn't something your interested in doing, please consider adding my (FAS cottsay) as an EPEL-only co-maintainer for this package.

Thanks,

Branch requested. I'll add you to the pcl package as well so you don't have to wait on me.

Tried to build, there's an error with eigen3 on ppc64 that needs further investigation.

This appears to be a GCC bug (now linked to this bug).

After some tips from other projects hitting this issue, I was able to get the build out by disabling LTO for ppc64le (PR linked).
