Description Alessio 2023-01-24 12:41:01 UTC
Nothing important, but upgrading systemd package I get

/usr/lib/sysusers.d/basic.conf:9: Conflict with earlier configuration for user 'root', ignoring line.

probably due to the fact that such line is already defined in 20-setup-users.conf

Now, the issue could be addressed to systemd component, but as far as I can see 20-setup-users.conf was recently introduced (I mean, such file is not in place on Fedora 37).

Thank you for reporting this issue!

This is the same one as described in bug 2156900 and is reported to be fixed in systemd's upstream already. I expect for the fix to get to the Fedora Rawhide soon if it is not there yet.

Closing as duplicate.
