Description Florian Weimer 2023-02-06 17:25:22 UTC
Upstream cleaned up all C99 compatibility issues as of commit 6116e32647543bc3b00584a5685a79b31df5dac0 (probably earlier) in <https://github.com/HDFGroup/hdf4>.

Would it be possible to import that version into rawhide soon after Fedora 38 branches?

I tried to fix C99 compatibility via backports, but the cleanups are fairly large, and making minimal fixes takes some time. In some cases it's also not quite clear exactly which change fixed what.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 38 development cycle.
Changing version to 38.

Comment 2 Florian Weimer 2023-08-29 13:07:38 UTC
I worked around this without the rebase, by exempting hdf from the new build flags.
