Comment 1 RHEL Process Automation 2023-02-09 17:21:19 UTC
This package is being added to RHEL 8.8 at the next minor release. Please remove it from epel after the next RHEL minor release.

Comment 2 Troy Dawson 2023-02-09 17:49:00 UTC
Just a reminder:
Please do not remove ecj from epel8 until it shows up in RHEL / Alma / Rocky 8.
Since this is expected in RHEL 8.8, that should be sometime in May 2023.

This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Comment 4 Troy Dawson 2023-04-26 13:16:49 UTC
We (the global EPEL we) will take care of removing ecj from epel 8 when RHEL 8.8 comes out.

I have verified that ecj is in RHEL 8.8
I have ran the fedpkg retire for ecj on epel8.
I will close this ticket when it is no longer in epel8
