Description Abraham Michles 2000-12-04 17:39:41 UTC
I have Windows ME installed on Dell 4100 with 40GB hard drive and Intel
82801 BA Ultra ATA storage controller. Using Partition Magic 6.0 I created
extended boot, root and swap partitions. When I started the installation
process neither Disk Druid nor fdisk could not read the partition table
issuing the following message:
An error occured reading the partition table for the block device hda
The eeror was: No such file or directory

fdisk is part of the util-linux package; assigning there.

Comment 3 Elliot Lee 2001-07-17 22:54:43 UTC
Does this problem still occur with the RHL 7.1 installer? It looks like it might
actually be the installer and not fdisk/disk druid.

Apologies for the unresponsiveness of the previous util-linux packager...

Comment 4 Elliot Lee 2004-06-11 18:24:56 UTC
This is a really old bug with no response in almost two years. Closing.
