Comment 1 RHEL Process Automation 2023-02-16 03:36:51 UTC
This package is being added to RHEL 8.8 at the next minor release. Please remove it from epel after the next RHEL minor release.

Comment 2 Troy Dawson 2023-02-16 14:09:58 UTC
Just a reminder:
Please do not remove tomcat from epel8 until it shows up in RHEL / Alma / Rocky 8.
Since this is expected in RHEL 8.8, that should be sometime in May 2023.

Comment 3 huwang 2023-05-31 11:35:04 UTC
I have run "fedpkg retire" command in epel8 branch.
It is not listed in comps and no epel8 branch in fedora-kickstarts.

Comment 4 Troy Dawson 2023-06-02 14:07:29 UTC
Oh here's a fun thing.
It looks like "fedpkg retire" just untags the latest package.
All the previous versions are still tagged in ... well, just one, and it's older than RHEL's version, so that ok.
We're working on fixing this.

Comment 5 Troy Dawson 2023-06-07 14:03:16 UTC
tomcat is no longer in epel8.
Thank you for your work work on tomcat on epel8.
