Description Thomas Haller 2023-02-20 14:18:41 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #2171827 +++

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #2169869 +++

Same as bug 2169869, except bug 2169869 is about client-id/duid/IAID, and this is *only* about client-id/duid. Read details there.

Make sure that the actually used client-id/DUID is exposed on the D-Bus API, nmcli and /run.

---

this(*) is already fixed on (rhel-8.8 nightly) for a while.

(*) to expose the client-id and DUID. NOT the IAID, see bug 2169869.

Comment 4 David Jaša 2023-02-22 18:52:05 UTC
VERIFIED in NetworkManager-1.40.14-1.el8.x86_64: the dhcp6_client_id is exposed in both /run/NetworkManager/devices/IFINDEX and in respective Dhcp6Config.Options DBus property.

Comment 5 David Jaša 2023-02-22 19:17:55 UTC
Covered by NM CI scenarios: bond_expose_dhcp_client_identifier bond_expose_dhcp6_client_id
