Description Pavel Filipensky 2023-02-23 10:19:22 UTC
Rhel 8.8.0 Errata https://errata.devel.redhat.com/advisory/104977/builds for samba-4.17.5-2.el8 reports:
38 Build RPMs not in Product Listings

Please add these packages to Rhel 8.8.0 (they are needed for samba-tool delivered in package samba-tools and/or needed for changes implemented in samba upstream):

3 for BaseOS:

python3-samba-dc
samba-tools
samba-usershares

1 for AppStream:
libnetapi-devel

1 for CRB:
python3-samba-devel

Comment 3 Andreas Schneider 2023-02-27 08:26:22 UTC
BaseOS:
python3-samba-dc - This has been created to ship python3 code needed by samba-tool
samba-tools - We split out a package for samba-tool to reduce dependencies for file server only installations.
samba-usershares - Make it easier to enable usershares by just installing a package (requested by KDE developers)

AppStream:
libnetapi-devel - Devel package for libnetapi (Requested by wine developers so they can use it)

CRB:
python3-samba-devel - Should be included as we also provide samba-devel here.
