Description of problem:

Long delay when ending desktop session and shutting down.

See attached video.

gdm-43.0-4.fc38.

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run branched fedora 38.
2. Start system and login to desktop.
3. Leave on desktop for a few minutes.
4. Shutdown.

Actual results:

Long delay sat at desktop.

Expected results:

I would normally see this perform quicker and would prefer it does so.
