Description François Charlier 2023-02-28 13:16:07 UTC
Description of problem:

python-productmd-1.34 is available [1] but only python-productmd-1.33 is in epel7

[1] https://github.com/release-engineering/productmd/releases/tag/python-productmd-1.34-1

Actual results:

# cat /etc/centos-release
CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core)
# yum install epel-release
[…]
# repoquery -i python2-productmd

Name : python2-productmd
Version : 1.33
Release : 1.el7
[…]
URL : https://github.com/release-engineering/productmd
Repository : epel
[…]
Source : python-productmd-1.33-1.el7.src.rpm
[…]

# repoquery -i python36-productmd

Name : python36-productmd
Version : 1.33
Release : 1.el7
[…]
URL : https://github.com/release-engineering/productmd
Repository : epel
[…]
Source : python-productmd-1.33-1.el7.src.rpm
[…]

Expected results:

python2-productmd-1.34 and python36-productmd-1.34 are available on EPEL7

Additional info:

Additionally, it'd be great if the 1.34 release could be available in EPEL8 and EPEL9 since current versions in EL8/AppStream is 1.11 and EL9/AppStream is 1.31.

Lubomir, FYI Fedora's productmd crashes when reading recent RHEL 9 nightly compose/metadata/images.json . https://github.com/release-engineering/productmd/pull/164 fixes the crash.
