*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 2172854 *** |
Created attachment 1956239 [details] The message in question Description of problem: The desktop shortcut for the live installer on the beta ISO complains that the shortcut is 'untrusted' and requires the user to click 'Launch Anyway' to access the installer. This looks really unprofessional to any prospective user. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora-Xfce-Live-x86_64-38_Beta-1.3.iso How reproducible: I can reproduce this consistently. I experienced this bug while testing out the Live ISO in Gnome Boxes. I can reproduce this every time I click the desktop icon for the installer, across multiple reboots. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot the live CD. 2. Double click on the "Install to Hard Drive" desktop shortcut Actual results: A message pops up declaring "Untrusted application launcher", continuing "The desktop file 'liveinst.desktop' is in an insecure location and not marked as executable. If you do not trust this program, click Cancel." Expected results: The installer opens without any system messages or warnings.
