Comment 2 Ben Beasley 2023-04-10 17:42:56 UTC
This package is primarily a sagemath dependency. Upstream intends to incorporate the algorithm into sagemath rather than fixing the vulnerable command-line tool, so an upstream patch will not be forthcoming. In Fedora, the command-line tool needs to stay in the repositories until sagemath no longer requires it. In the EPELs, sagemath is not packaged, so flintqs is a leaf package. I’ve started the process of retiring this package in all three EPEL branches by sending the requisite email to epel-devel:

This package was retired in all EPEL branches on 2023-04-17.
