I have sent out requests to attempt to upstream the RHEL6 and RHEL7 translations for Italian and Japanese:
https://sourceware.org/pipermail/libc-alpha/2023-April/147299.html
https://sourceware.org/pipermail/libc-alpha/2023-April/147300.html

Only `it` and `ja` had fuzzy translation matches that need updating.

Note that expectations on translation and collation may need to be updated with every major RHEL release as translations and collation are updated to follow cultural norms and international standards.

Every other language for which we had a downstream translation was subsequently updated upstream by the TP teams doing the translations. So only `it` and `ja` need adjusting upstream. Once upstream translations exist they will go into glibc development, then Fedora Rawhide, and then we can review their inclusion into RHEL8 and RHEL9 to avoid the translation regressions.
