Comment 1 Michal Skrivanek 2023-05-03 10:57:50 UTC
is it possible to work around by creating with Other and then Edit it to RHEL 8?

Comment 2 Frank DeLorey 2023-05-03 18:11:33 UTC
Yes but this is not optimal as it is adding extra steps.

Comment 8 Lucia Jelinkova 2023-06-07 13:55:48 UTC
I've tried that on the oVirt 4.5.5-0.master.20230504084909.gitd37b4f7ad9.el8 end the creation of the template from a snapshot of a VM with the RHEL8 OS worked without any problem.

Comment 9 Michal Skrivanek 2023-06-28 11:23:01 UTC
it seems to be working, further troubleshooting on customer side might be needed.

Comment 10 Frank DeLorey 2023-06-28 17:21:56 UTC
I will ask them to upgrade to the latest RHV version and try again.
