When connecting an iiyama ProLite X4372UHSU-B1 monitor via Displayport or HDMI to a USB-C or TB docking station there appear error messages in dmesg and there is no output to the monitor. Within Additional Information, you can find the dmesg output when connecting the monitor via Displayport.

A Dell WD19TB and a Lenovo USB-C Dock Gen2 docking station show the same behaviour connected to my Lenovo Thinkpad E495 (AMD Ryzen 3500U with integrated Vega graphics). 

Other Displayport and HDMI monitors I was able to test are working with this setup (a Dell U2412M via Displayport and a HannsG SH221HPB via HDMI).

The setup worked for me until two weeks ago, before the upgrade to Fedora 38, when I was using the docking station for the last time. I think back then I was running kernel 6.1. Using a F37 boot stick with this setup and testing with a different Laptop (unfortunately Windows only) the monitor is working as before, so it is not a hardware problem.

I doesn't make a difference when to connect the dock/monitor. Before boot, during boot, desktop up and running, ... and it does not make a difference to connect the monitor after connecting the dock or connecting the dock with the monitor already connected.

Some more testing results: 
*) With the Fedora 38 boot disk the monitor is working
*) Doing a downgrade to 6.2.9-300.fc38.x86_64 on my installation and the monitor also works
*) With newer kernel versions it does not work and shows errors like above
*) Using the Kernel Vanilla Repositories I even tried 6.4 rc5 - with that version when I activate the monitor in the settings all outputs get black but there is no dmesg error output.

Therefore the regression was introduced somewhere between 6.2.9-300.fc38.x86_64 and 6.2.12-300.fc38.x86_64 (first time I noticed the bug).
