I'm working on backporting oci-cli to EPEL 9 in BZ 2208051 and python-tzlocal is one of the dependencies. oci-cli needs python-dateparser which needs python-tzlocal.

I ran a test build in COPR and it builds fine in EPEL 9 without any edits. Could you please branch and build python-tzlocal for EPEL 9? I'm happy to help maintain it there if needed.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle.
Changing version to 39.

Will you be able to branch and build python-tzlocal in epel9?
The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer
if you do not wish to build it on epel9.

* Please add the epel-packagers-sig group through
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-tzlocal/addgroup
and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.
