well, this is implemented, but nobody really followed up on any of the bugs or problems it caused (see linked bugs). Setting to MODIFIED, since really, I feel like at least some of those should be addressed for this to be considered complete. Hey Adam. I can't figure out those blivet bugs -- it all seems somewhat fragile. Do you want me to revert this for f39 and we can try again in f40? Let's see if FESCo picks it up, deciding what to do about Changes in difficult situations is their job not mine :) You can unilaterally decide to withdraw the Change, I guess, but I'm not in any position to tell you whether or not to do that (I'm just being an unofficial temporary Change wrangler). Any change at this point will require an FE bug for Beta since we're in freeze. Just as a thought, we could maybe drop the max size to something smaller than 2G but larger than the current max, as a temporary measure? Make it min 500, max 1G, or min 500, max 750? Several FESCo members liked the idea of dropping the max size. I think we should do https://github.com/rhinstaller/anaconda/pull/5081 -- I don't like the idea of being responsible for regressions we can't fix post-update. Proposed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2234951 as a Beta FE bug for the max size reduction. The reversion of the max size has been done and doesn't seem to be causing problems. We do not need to edit the Change as the 2G max size number was never actually mentioned there. So we can happily mark this as 100% complete at this point, doing so. F39 was released on November 7th, so I am closing this tracker. If this Change was not completed, please notify me ASAP. If I understand https://github.com/rhinstaller/anaconda/pull/5081 correctly, this change has been reverted and dropped. Maybe we should add a not to the wiki page: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/BiggerESP s/not/note/ IIRC, we made the ESP larger, but not by that huge amount, i.e. enough for firmware updates to still work and not enough for UKIs to work.
