Description blackfriar 2023-05-18 15:10:09 UTC
Amanda backup was built without the man pages and so running the man against amanda itself and any related tool (amtape, amcrypt, amcheck...) shows only "DUMMY".

This has been verified by the user DBelton on the fedora forum in the provided link.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. man amanda
2. man amtape
3. man amcheck
4. man amcrypt
.....
Actual Results:
shows only:

DUMMY

Expected Results:
the regular man page content of each tool

Comment 2 Jason Tibbitts 2023-07-27 03:51:50 UTC
The issue was that upstream stopped shipping formatted manpages without notice, and instead just generates "DUMMY" ones unless you pass a configure flag and add some dependencies.
