@bingham.tim is this reproducible?  What were you doing when this happened?

Emacs was running. I walked away from the computer for about 5 mins, when I returned emacs was gone. I used gnome-abrt/"Problem Reporting" to file this bug.

I've only seen this that one time, so I don't know if this is reproducible.

Unknown; I had some large files open and also Python source code. My Gnome shell crashed along with Emacs when I went to get an overview of all open windows.
