This bug having no release flag set previously, is now set with release flag 'odf‑4.11.0' to '?', and so is being proposed to be fixed at the ODF 4.11.0 release. Note that the 3 Acks (pm_ack, devel_ack, qa_ack), if any previously set while release flag was missing, have now been reset since the Acks are to be set against a release flag.

Anjana...the statement ("4.2z1" ) that needs to be updated is:

"Red Hat Ceph Storage version 4.2z1 or later is required for the external cluster. For more information, see this knowledge base article on Red Hat Ceph Storage releases and corresponding Ceph package versions."


And this statement needs to be determined if still relevant:

"If you have updated the Red Hat Ceph Storage cluster from a version lower than 4.1.1 to the latest release and is not a freshly deployed cluster, you must manually set the application type for CephFS pool on the Red Hat Ceph Storage cluster to enable CephFS PVC creation in external mode."

@bkunal - can you please confirm if the following sentences from section 2.2 - are still relevant?

"Red Hat Ceph Storage version 4.2z1 or later is required for the external cluster. For more information, see this knowledge base article on Red Hat Ceph Storage releases and corresponding Ceph package versions." --> does this sentence need to be updated to the latest supported version of Ceph?

We recently updated the 4.12 docs. Refer to screenshot attached and the doc url. We may need to update the previous version docs as well. Not sure which ones though.

I agree with Olive, The change done in the 4.12 guide needs to be backported to older versions as well. The intention is to guide them to the odfsi lab where we maintain the supported versions. 

This is what was added in the pre-req session after removing the existing points around the Ceph version :

To check the supportability and interoperability of Red Hat Ceph Storage (RHCS) with Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation in external mode, go to the lab Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation Supportability and Interoperability Checker.

Select Service Type as ODF as Self-Managed Service.
Select appropriate Version from the drop down.
On Versions tab, click Supported RHCS Compatibility tab.

IIRC we made this change in other docs as well but could not recall which doc. Maybe planning doc. 
Please do check other docs where similar information is available, we need to fix it at all places.
