Description Disha Walvekar 2023-05-22 12:32:17 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #2137543 +++

Starting from OCP 4.11, OpenShift registry support RGW and MCG as target storage. https://issues.redhat.com/browse/IR-87

We should incorporate the instructions from here https://access.redhat.com/articles/5977531

while using it for both RGW/MCG (the only difference is the endpoint).

--- Additional comment from RHEL Program Management on 2022-10-25 12:18:05 UTC ---

This bug having no release flag set previously, is now set with release flag 'odf‑4.12.0' to '?', and so is being proposed to be fixed at the ODF 4.12.0 release. Note that the 3 Acks (pm_ack, devel_ack, qa_ack), if any previously set while release flag was missing, have now been reset since the Acks are to be set against a release flag.

@etamir - is this request still valid?
I can see that KCS article - https://access.redhat.com/articles/5977531 is not published yet.

If this still needs to go into the documentation, please let me know - I will start to work on this.

Thank you!

Yes. It's still relevant. We never updated our docs.

--- Additional comment from Disha Walvekar on 2023-05-18 13:21:53 UTC ---

Thank you @etamir for the confirmation. I will update the docs accordingly.

@etamir - trying to confirm here if the steps mentioned in the above kbase article are now tested as the kbase article mentions that at the time of writing, compatibility of storage backed by MCG for image-registry in OpenShift is not tested. Please confirm if the steps ate tested?
