Description Trevor Hemsley 2023-05-29 12:49:19 UTC
I have a /etc/cron.d/cacti file that contains

*/5 * * * *     apache  /usr/bin/php /usr/share/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null  2>&1

Every 5 minutes /var/log/secure shows

May 29 13:40:01 trevor (systemd)[167306]: pam_systemd_home(systemd-user:account): systemd-homed is not available: Could not activate remote peer: activation request failed: unknown unit.
May 29 13:40:01 trevor (systemd)[167303]: pam_unix(systemd-user:session): session opened for user root(uid=0) by (uid=0)
May 29 13:40:01 trevor (systemd)[167306]: pam_unix(systemd-user:session): session opened for user apache(uid=48) by (uid=0)

The systemd-homed service is disabled.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install fc38 and cacti
2. Add recommended cacti crontab entry to run the poller
3. systemctl disable systemd-homed
4. tail -f /var/log/secure
Actual Results:
Spam spam spam!

Expected Results:
No rubbish cluttering up my log files

Fully up to date FC38 system
