I mean FC38 repos

Comment 2 John Dodson 2023-07-05 15:20:31 UTC
Here's an unofficial repo...

[copr:copr.fedorainfracloud.org:psi-jack:devilspie]
name=Copr repo for devilspie owned by psi-jack
baseurl=https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/psi-jack/devilspie/fedora-$releasever-$basearch/
type=rpm-md
skip_if_unavailable=True
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/psi-jack/devilspie/pubkey.gpg
repo_gpgcheck=0

Comment 3 John Dodson 2023-07-14 02:28:18 UTC
Is it likely that devilspie will get back in the fedora repo?

Comment 4 John Dodson 2023-08-07 01:34:48 UTC
Any action on this?

Comment 5 John Dodson 2023-08-15 14:40:45 UTC
Any news?

Comment 6 John Dodson 2023-12-06 11:04:24 UTC
What does "orphan owner" mean?

Comment 7 Fabio Valentini 2023-12-08 17:32:48 UTC
Usually the older bug is kept and newer ones are kept as duplicates.
My old bug (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2132094) is now closed anyway, so that is moot.

> What does "orphan owner" mean?

This means that the package has no maintainer, and that it will be removed from Fedora.

In fact, this has already happened a while ago:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/devilspie2/c/a77dcc501ca71ded5f9dd4cef1dde8e332d4cc7f?branch=rawhide

Unless somebody wants to step up and add the package back to Fedora, it will not be available in current and future versions of Fedora.

Comment 8 John Dodson 2023-12-09 11:06:54 UTC
Who was the last maintainer?

Why did they give it up? it appears that happened almost a year ago?

Are there any statistics on how many people are loading it from repos?

Comment 9 John Dodson 2023-12-09 11:58:56 UTC
or attempting to load it from repos?

Comment 10 Fabio Valentini 2023-12-13 14:51:31 UTC
(In reply to John Dodson from comment #8)
> Who was the last maintainer?

The old maintainer appears to be miminar, who was decided to be "non-responsive" a while ago:

> Why did they give it up? it appears that happened almost a year ago?

I don't know what happened or why.

> Are there any statistics on how many people are loading it from repos?

No, we don't have any statistics / telemetry like that.
