Description Karun Josy 2023-06-06 12:01:33 UTC
#Describe the issue:

In section "7.3. Resource requirements" in the "planning your deployment" doc we mention using ODF sizing tool to design the cluster.

=====
For additional guidance with designing your Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation cluster, see the ODF Sizing Tool.
=====

However, this tool is designed currently to do only capacity planning.
We should add more options for example and not limited to:
- Type of workload - Block / CephFS/ RGW --> our recommendations
- Number of files expected --> For example : In cephfs environments if it is expected to have a large number of small files, then it is recommended to have more nodes/OSD than usual
- IOPS expected

Overall, there is a good opportunity to enhance the tool so that customers can use this to plan and design their environment.
