Verified with RHEL-8.9.0-nightly and microcode_ctl-20230214-2.el8.

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -q microcode_ctl
microcode_ctl-20210608-1.el8.x86_64

[root@localhost ~]# find /usr/lib/firmware -xtype l

[root@localhost ~]# yum -y update microcode_ctl
...
Upgraded:
  microcode_ctl-4:20230214-2.el8.x86_64                                         

Complete!

[root@localhost ~]# find /usr/lib/firmware -xtype l
