Description tdyq-liu 2023-06-07 01:49:20 UTC
The icon display of ibus-mozc has an issue. The character encoding "3042" should be displayed as "あ".
The developers have fixed the error, but the Fedora repository hasn't been updated.

Comment 3 tdyq-liu 2023-06-26 04:27:43 UTC
```sh
sudo dnf upgrade --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2023-3f7d8c7216
# output
No security updates needed, but 35 updates available
Dependencies resolved.
Nothing to do.
Complete!
```

Running this command was of no use. At that time, I thought it was because the software sources hadn't been synced yet, but it has been three days now. 😂
When I submitted the bug, I mentioned Fedora version 38, but the fix was made for version 39. Can we have a fix for version 38 as well?

Comment 4 Akira TAGOH 2023-06-29 14:13:43 UTC
I tried but quite hard to build the latest one for f38 because abseil-cpp doesn't satisfy requirements to build. I'll have another try to backport a fix only.

FEDORA-2023-fa4a6eebfe has been submitted as an update to Fedora 38. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-fa4a6eebfe

Comment 6 tdyq-liu 2023-06-30 01:13:12 UTC
It seems that the software sources were not updated in a timely manner, so I downloaded the RPM package and installed it. After deleting *~/.config/mozc* and Log Out, the icon returned to normal. Thank you!
